I’m Dr. Ryann Christensen, a proud Fresno native and the owner of Christensen Family Orthodontics. My journey into orthodontics began when I was just eight years old, after my own ortho treatment transformed my smile and confidence. That experience inspired me to pursue a career in orthodontics and I’m thrilled to help patients of all ages improve their smiles and self-esteem. How do I clean my retainers?
Rinse your retainers with lukewarm water after each use. For daily cleaning, brush gently with a soft toothbrush—without toothpaste, since it can scratch the surface. For a deeper clean, use mild dish soap or a retainer-safe cleaner.
How much do retainers cost?
CFO provides a set of clear retainers (top and bottom) at the end of treatment. Replacements are $500 per set, or just $29 per arch after you’ve paid for our Smile Protection Plan (AKA retainer insurance).
How long do you have to wear a retainer?
We recommend 16 hours a day for the first 6 months, then nighttime wear for life to maintain your smile.
